Struggling to find all Tears of the Kingdom recipes? This Legend of Zelda guide has you covered, breaking down how to cook every recipe in the game. TotK features a similar cooking system to Breath of the Wild, meaning that knowing the recipes will be immensely helpful in your adventure through Hyrule.
Firstly though, you’ll need to understand how to cook in Tears of the Kingdom, because you can't make these recipes without that knowledge. It’ll also be worth taking a look at our Tears of the Kingdom enemies list to know which foes you’ll need food for when healing – so our guide on how to heal in Tears of the Kingdom will also be helpful.
That's every recipe in the TotK recipe book. With almost all recipes, if you increase the quantity of healing ingredients, the amount of hearts restored will increase. The same goes for using ingredients that grant buffs. You can't have more than one buff on a meal, though, so don't use a spicy pepper with an ice fruit, for example, or they will cancel each other out.
Similar to Breath of the Wild, there are four types of recipes you can create, each with different effects and buffs. The recipes are grouped into:
Cooked recipes are created by combining various ingredients and cooking them over a fire or with a cooking pot. These recipes typically restore health when consumed, and depending on the ingredients used, they can also provide additional buffs such as increased stamina, defense, attack power, or resistance to environmental elements.
Elixir recipes are made by combining certain ingredients, such as monster parts, insects, or critters, with monster extracts or monster parts. These elixirs grant temporary effects when consumed, such as increased attack power, defense, resistance to extreme temperatures, increased speed, or heightened senses. Elixirs are particularly useful for combating challenging enemies or traversing hazardous environments.
With Frozen Recipes you can create recipes that grant resistance to cold environments. For example, by combining ingredients like Spicy Peppers or Sunshrooms with meat or other ingredients, you can cook dishes that provide temporary cold resistance. These recipes allow you to explore cold regions without taking damage from low temperatures.
Similar to cooked recipes, roasted recipes involve cooking ingredients over an open flame, such as a campfire. Roasted recipes primarily restore health when consumed but may lack the additional buffs that cooked recipes offer. Roasting ingredients can be a quick way to prepare food while on the go, providing a convenient source of healing.
Remember that the effects and benefits of recipes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom depend on the specific ingredients used and their combinations. Experimenting with different combinations of ingredients will allow you to discover new recipes that have unique effects that can aid you in your adventures across Hyrule.
Elixirs are made by cooking with monster parts and insects, things that would typically be considered inedible. Elixirs won't provide any healing effects, but will offer boosts to things like speed, stamina, attack power, and defence.
There are 214 recipes in Tears of the Kingdom, which is more than in the previous Zelda game, which had 118.
That's it for all the currently available Tears of the Kingdom recipes. With a whopping 214 recipes, there's a lot to get through, although the new Tears of the Kingdom recipe book makes it a lot easier to keep track of what you’ve cooked already.
Meanwhile, we have other guides explaining information about the game such as the Tears of the Kingdom blood moon, Tears of the Kingdom dungeons, and all of Link's new Tears of the Kingdom abilities such as Ultrahand, Fuse, and Recall.
