Iconic Phoenician resort now offers day passes. Here's what to know
In the summer, Phoenix residents have their pick of resorts where they can spend
In the summer, Phoenix residents have their pick of resorts where they can spend the day in the lap of luxury, relaxing in poolside cabanas and swimming in pools that range from serene to action packed.
But never at one of the area's most widely acclaimed resorts, The Phoenician. Experiencing it required booking an overnight stay, which averages around $700 in the high season and sometimes can cost thousands for a single night.
That will change this summer, when people who don't stay overnight at The Phoenician can spend a day at the resort pool. The resort announced in a tweet that it will sell cabana poolside day passes for the first time.

A cabana poolside pass at The Phoenician includes full-day use of a cabana with a lounge chair, sofa, overhead fan, refrigerator, storage credenza and flat-screen TV.
Cabanas also include bottled water, sports drinks and sunscreen. A staff member assigned to each cabana will attend to guests' needs.
Guests also have their choice of one "Phoenician amenity." Options include a luxury sunscreen kit; Phoenician private label wine; an order of chips, salsa and guacamole; and a seasonal fruit plate.
